We were in town to attend a couple hockey games at the attached Orleans Arena.

We've seen and done the strip, so, no need to be on the strip if we didn't have to. Stayed here with my wife for a long weekend in Vegas. Overall, the hotel, 24 hour restaurant, the Mexican restaurant and buffet were really good and you get a great value.just stay away from the slots and you might get out with some money. For me, I cannot play slots at the 's just way to boring. Once you raise your bet to 90 cents or $1.50 a spin they shut down tighter than a drum. Pretty much all of the Casinos have seen how popular all the Penny Slots are and they have made them so tight it's hard to enjoy playing them unless you bet the 20 or 30 cent a spin minimum. We played the higher dominations and they would at least gave us a little play for our money, but once you hit something you need to get up and go to another machine because it would shut down and take it all right back. We did play table games and slot machines and of course they are like everywhere else on the penny. We were a little disapointed how thin the walls were, we heard people in both connecting rooms and their TV's as well as when people would walk down the hallway. It was nice to see they did upgrade the TV's to flat screen and the beds are pillow top which are very comfortable however, they need to also update some of their 's really starting to show it's wear. We liked that the bathroom had a window that opened for obvious reason. The bathroom had a sliding pocket door that made a lot of noise when you closed it.

The bathroom had a large sink area and a shower/tub combo with it and the toilet separated by a wall, but no door. The room is a nice size and a nice size flat screen TV. We had a queen room on the 9th floor facing the parking garage and the Las Vegas Strip. We booked a queen room at The Orleans Casino and Hotel. We drive to Las Vegas from Oklahoma so we usually stay at 2 or 3 different locations based on our comps for the 8 to 10 day stay we are there.
